PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Our yellow-green striped heat shrink tubing is purpose-manufactured for protective earth (PE) grounding conductor identification and insulation. Featuring the internationally recognized yellow-green bi-color pattern in accordance with IEC 60446 / EN 60446 standards, this tubing provides instant visual identification of grounding wires in electrical panels, machinery, control cabinets, and building wiring installations.
Constructed from cross-linked flame-retardant polyolefin with a standard 2:1 shrink ratio, this tubing installs quickly and provides reliable electrical insulation combined with permanent color-coded identification. The dual-color stripe runs continuously along the entire length, ensuring consistent ground wire recognition across every installation — eliminating the need for separate labels or markers.
UL 224 VW-1 flame retardant and fully RoHS / REACH compliant, this yellow-green heat shrink tubing meets the requirements of electrical codes and safety standards worldwide, making it the standard choice for electricians, panel builders, OEM manufacturers, and maintenance technicians.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
► Standardized Ground Wire Identification
The yellow-green striped pattern conforms to IEC 60446 / EN 60446 international standards for protective earth (PE) conductor color coding. Provides immediate visual recognition of grounding wires — essential for electrical safety, code compliance, and maintenance troubleshooting.
► Reliable 2:1 Shrink Ratio
The industry-standard 2-to-1 recovery ratio fits the full range of standard grounding wire gauges, from small signal ground wires to heavy equipment grounding conductors. Installs quickly and uniformly with basic heat gun equipment.
► UL VW-1 Flame Retardant
Meets UL 224 VW-1 vertical burn flammability requirements, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEC, and local electrical codes for enclosed panel and equipment wiring.
► Excellent Electrical Insulation
With dielectric strength of 15 kV/mm and high volume resistivity, this tubing provides dependable secondary insulation for grounding conductors, protecting against accidental contact and cross-contact with energized conductors.
► Permanent, Fade-Resistant Color
The bi-color pigment is compounded directly into the polyolefin material — not surface-printed — ensuring the yellow-green identification remains visible throughout the service life of the installation, even under UV exposure, temperature cycling, and mechanical abrasion.
► Durable & Long-Lasting
Cross-linked molecular structure provides excellent resistance to thermal aging, abrasion, and common fluids. Maintains insulation performance and color integrity across the full -55°C to +125°C operating range.
► Fast & Economical Installation
Combines insulation and wire identification into a single step, eliminating the need for separate ground labels, tape, or markers. Reduces installation time and labor cost in panel building and equipment manufacturing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Required Tools: Heat gun (250–350°C output), heat-resistant gloves, utility knife or tubing cutter
Step 1 — Preparation
Select the appropriate diameter tubing for the ground wire size. Cut to the required length using a sharp blade or tubing cutter. Ensure clean, square cuts for a professional finish.
Step 2 — Placement
Slide the yellow-green tubing over the grounding conductor and position it over the area requiring insulation or identification. For terminal connections, position the tubing to cover the exposed conductor up to the insulation boundary.
Step 3 — Heat Application
Apply heat evenly using a heat gun set to approximately 300°C. Move the heat source gradually along the tubing from one end to the other, or start from the center and work outward. Maintain sufficient distance to avoid scorching or discoloring the yellow-green stripe pattern.
Step 4 — Verification
Continue heating until the tubing has fully conformed to the wire with a smooth, wrinkle-free surface. The yellow-green stripe pattern should remain clearly visible and uniform along the recovered length.
Step 5 — Cooling
Allow the tubing to cool naturally. Once cooled, the insulation is fully set and the ground wire identification is permanent.
Note: Avoid overheating, as excessive temperature may cause the color pigments to shift or the tubing surface to become dull and uneven. Keep the heat gun moving continuously during installation.
